parataxis
refers to paratactic relationships between clauses that are juxtaposed without explicit coordination or subordination.
Characteristics
- The parataxis tag represents loosely connected clauses that stand next to each other, often without a conjunction. This is generally dependent on the root of the sentence.
- The parataxis tag often appears when two or more independent clauses are placed next to each other using punctuation marks like commas. In these cases, the clause uses EF (Ending-closing, 종결 어미) instead of EC (Ending-connecting, 연결 어미), which makes the sentence grammatically incorrect.
